Each pouch contains a 10% povidone-iodine solution, which has broad-spectrum germicidal action. Povidone iodine reduces bacteria and microorganisms on the skin. When air-dried, the solution forms a golden brown protective film that delineates the treated area and protects it from contamination. It is virtually non-staining to skin or natural fabrics.
